Sanctuary of Truth
A 105-metre Gothic-meets-Khmer cathedral built entirely from teak, joined with wooden pegs and carved in place since 1981. Every surface is bas-relief. There is no other building in the world like this. The fact that it is still being carved is part of the experience.

Pattaya invented the modern Asian cabaret revue. Tiffany’s has been running since 1974; Alcazar is the bigger of the two; both feature world-class transgender performers, full orchestras of recorded music, and costuming you would not see anywhere outside Vegas. The format started here.

Koh Larn & the Coral Islands
